How does Kairos feel about mentors?

First, mentors and coaches are not exactly the same thing.  Their jobs have some crossover, but Kairos sees a coach being a strategic helper and a mentor being a spiritual helper.  That distinction is too tidy, but it gives some guidance to the roles.  A mentor may not have coaching skills or knowledge, but Kairos expects our coaches to have mentoring skills.

Having said that, we encourage and expect every planter and his wife to have a mentor.   The job is too big and too demanding to be out there on one's own.  Mentors watch out for the spirit of his/her person, always praying, always nurturing, always "being there".

We expect men to mentor the men and women to mentor the women.
